Choosing the right fence for your project

When deciding on the best fence for your project ask yourself the following questions: what is the main reason for installing this fence?

1. Many people get a fence to keep their children or pets corralled in their yard. If this is your primary concern, you have many options at your disposal. Not much would be ruled out here. Options may only be limited by the age and size of your children and/or pets.

2. Anybody with a pool must have a fence around it to prevent any tragic accidents from occurring. Check with your local township on specific requirements on the height, picket spacing and latch placement for your fence. Options are still plentiful here but make sure to meet the minimum code requirements.

3. If you are just looking to enhance the look of your home you may be interested in a more ornate style of fence or a different color than the standards. This would come down to your specific taste for what looks best with your home/property.

4. If you are looking for privacy for your yard then your options are slightly more limited because anything with spacing will not be sufficient for your project. Solid 6’H panels are most likely your best bet here.

5. Anybody with a garden or agricultural property would be interested in protecting their crops from predators. Agricultural fencing such as deer fence or goat fence might be a good option.
